The pantries of Inland Valley Hope Partners’
Claremont drop-off center are overflowing thanks to recent donations raised by
the Committee on Aging’s Community Services and Participation Subcommittee.
For the second year in a row, the local subcommittee
organized its Make A Difference Food Drive Project, collecting nonperishable
goods for families in need. City staff and more than 8 Claremont businesses
joined this year’s efforts, helping collect the group’s largest donation yet.
An estimated 2,475 items were collected, equivalent to 37,125 pounds of food
that will feed 9,281 families of four for one week, according to subcommittee member Sandy Hester. Group members thank the
Claremont community for their continued support.
