The city of Claremont’s Community and Human Services Department is
kicking off its 24th annual “Making Change” contest. In honor of the 50th
anniversary of the March on Washington, students are asked to submit an entry
based on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s August 28, 1963, “I Have A Dream”
speech. Students (K-12) who live in or attend school in Claremont are eligible
to enter the contest. The deadline for all entries is February 5, and an awards
ceremony for the contest winners will be held on February 26 at 6:30 p.m. at
the Alexander Hughes Community Center. For more information, contact the
Claremont Community and Human Services at (909) 399-5490.
