The Claremont Homeless Advocacy Group kicks off its Summer to End Homelessness this weekend with a training meeting for those interested in volunteering. It takes place Saturday, June 8 from 9 a.m. to noon at St. Ambrose Episcopal Church, 830 W. Bonita Ave. in Claremont.
Volunteers with the Summer to End Homelessness program will team up in pairs to help a participating homeless individual navigate available resources with the goal of achieving permanent housing. Those interested in participating are asked to contact Mary Cooper at 593-4184 or Karl Hilgert at 542-9271.
