Local nonprofit seeks summer help

David & Margaret Youth and Family Services is looking for local craftspeople and artists who are willing to contract this summer to teach the girls in the agency’s residential program crafts or skills in a 3 or four-week series of lessons or workshops. Skills may include dance, yoga, knitting and weaving among others.

The agency will provide a $20 per hour stipend, materials and workspace. Instructors must create their own lesson or workshop plan, and pass a TB test and background check.

David & Margaret also invites community members to help establish a grassroots organization that will support special projects and fundraising efforts for the clients of the agency, which serves as an advocate for at-risk children, youth and families in our community.

Anyone interested in either of these opportunities should contact Volunteer/Mentor Coordinator Cece Ross at 596-5921, ext. 3311 or ConcepcionR@DavidandMargaret.org.
