Waste drop-off at Fairplex this weekend


The Pomona Fairplex will play host to a free household hazardous waste and electronic waste drop-off tomorrow, Saturday, June 15, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Claremont residents and others residing in Los Angeles County may dispose of the following items: unused pharmaceuticals, antifreeze, car batteries, used motor oil, paint, pesticides, household batteries, fluorescent light bulbs and electronic waste such as TVs and monitors, computers, VCRs, stereos and cell phones. 

The drop off takes place at the LA County Fair Hotel and Exposition Complex, Gate 23, off Arrow Highway. Up to 15 gallons or 125 pounds of waste per person is permitted. For more information, contact 1-888-Clean-LA or visit www.cleanla.com.
