Sewer work starts today

The city of Claremont begins its sewer rehabilitation project today, September 16, which includes  adding a lining to the existing sewer in order to avoid backups and guarantee the system's reliability.

The rehabilitation project includes fixing the east side of Mountain Avenue between Santa Barbara Drive and Condit Elementary School; Northwestern Drive from Harrison Avenue to 841 Northwestern Drive; and Eighth Street from College Avenue to Indian Hill Boulevard. A disruption in service is not anticipated. Work is expected to continue for the next 2 to 3 weeks. Any questions should be directed to the Community Services Division at 399-5431.
