The Claremont Police Department will conduct a sobriety checkpoint tonight, Monday, July 29 at an undisclosed location in the city.

Between 6 p.m. and 1 a.m. officers will stop cars to make sure drivers are not under the influence of drugs or alcohols and check for valid driver licenses. Police are putting on the checkpoint courtesy of a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
