Starting on, Monday, July 8th, Southern California Edison will be replacing their existing vault on the north side of Second Street, just east of the Library driveway. This work will require the closure of Second Street, between Harvard and College, for up to 3 weeks.
Preliminary work on this section of Second Street will take place on Monday, July 1st and Tuesday, July 2nd. The street will remain open for these 2 days.

A temporary power outage will be required beginning at midnight on Sunday, July 7, which is expected to last until noon that same day. Edison has notified all affected businesses and residents of the closure and power outage. City staff will follow up with additional notification as well.
