City budget workshops begin Monday

The city of Claremont will host 2 public workshops to discuss the creation of the city's 2012-2014 city budget. Residents are invited to take part in the process starting this Monday.

The workshops are an opportunity for residents to hear preliminary revenue and budget projections and give input on budget items. Residents attending the workshops will take an interactive survey and the results of the surveys will be used to develop the budget.

Monday's workshop will take place at the Blaisdell Community Center at 440 S. College Ave. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m.

Another workshop will take place the following Monday, February 13 at the same time at the Alexander Hughes Center at 1700 Danbury Road.

Those unable to attend the workshops are invited to take the interactive survey online. The survey will be available starting Tuesday on the city's website at www.ci.claremont.ca.us.
